Challenge

Netta-Pannonia Kft.'s operations are characterized by numerous unique business and operational processes, along with the in-house developed applications that support them. Due to their business importance and custom design, these required special attention from an information security perspective. The complexity of the preparation was further increased by the combined presence of IT and OT systems – including weighbridges – as well as the secure management of the large number of mobile devices supporting the work of truck drivers.

The company also held several ISO certifications and had an established management system in place. It was therefore an important goal for the NIS2 requirements to fit into the already operating processes and regulatory structure, without creating unnecessary duplication.

Solution

Régens' experts assessed the organization's readiness through a detailed GAP analysis and risk assessment, paying special attention to the in-house developed applications, the IT/OT environment, and the risks arising from mobile devices. Based on the identified gaps, we developed action plans, designed and supported the introduction of technical and organizational protective measures that could be implemented in the short term, and also supported the organization's Information Security Officer in preparing to carry out their NIS2-related tasks.

We aligned the required NIS2 regulatory and documentation system with the company's existing ISO-based management system, supporting the practical integration of the requirements into daily operations. Challenge

GYSEV CARGO Zrt. operates and uses electronic information systems classified in the significant and high security categories, which made ensuring NIS2 compliance an exceptionally complex task. An additional challenge arose as the audit process progressed: some preparation tasks had to be completed within a shorter timeframe than originally planned. The changing schedule required especially intensive cooperation, as well as continuous reprioritization and repeated reallocation of tasks.

As a DÁP-obligated organization, Tapolcai Városgazdálkodási Kft. faced a strict deadline — May 31, 2025 — to complete the NIS2 audit. Due to the complexity of its operational and IT systems, an intensive and accelerated preparation process was required to ensure full and timely compliance with the legal requirements.

Although it is not subject to mandatory audits under the Cybersecurity Act, compliance with the NIS2 directive is a legal requirement for the organization. The company's operational model, the regulatory exemptions applicable to micro-enterprises, and its unique, innovation-driven business processes made the project a real challenge.
